Hello! If you are reading this, it means my website is back up. What a relief. I have better things to do than worry about technology, like plant in the garden. The peas, beets, and spinach are all up. Frost tonight. You can't rush spring.
Besides, I'm still using up last year's harvest. I just added a pumpkin cake recipe to my website. I hope you will check it out on the Roots and Leaves page.
I am a cookbook author, food writer, freelance editor, and book indexer. My cooking focuses on vegetables in season. I have been working hard this past year on a new book, The Pickled Pantry, which will come out in June 2012. In the meantime, winter is still with us and there is plenty of time to cook the hearty winter vegetables I love. I hope you check out Recipes from the Root Cellar. Who knew there were so many wonderful ways to turn cabbage into salad? And don't get me started about rutabagas!
I hope you will enjoy the (mostly) seasonal recipes I’ve posted and visit my blog, Roots and Leaves, in which I share my current edible enthusiasms. You can also find a list of the books I’ve published, my bio, and professional resume.
Thanks for stopping by. I’d love to hear from you!
